Interview
The interviewer got on the call seemingly not knowing anything about me and then told me he can't offer me anything since they need immediate hire (not sure why he did not check my resume or portfolio which clearly said I was still in school for another semester- to save us both the time and energy). I spent hours preparing for this interview just for the interviewer to be rude to me thereafter. He was doing his work while talking to me and was clearly uninterested. He kept making snarky comments towards me. I would never work here no matter the offer.

Interview
Had the initial discussion with the recruiter. The conversation went south when describing how scrutinizingly long the interviewing process was/is alongside the requirements for a 5 hour panel interview and data structure & algorithm questions. Ultimately, I noted to the recruiter this would not be a good use of my time. The recruiter's attitude turned a tad hostile and unprofessional. It was deemed this would not be a good cultural fit and although I rejected them, they sent me a rejection email for the position (which I found comical).

the interview process was really smooth and not pressuring. they also did one-on-one interview style with two rounds of interviews. They try to get to know you as well, and talked more than ask questions.

Hiring manager was constantly getting distracted by pings and I had to repeat answers numerous times. He then ended the interview 15 minutes early because he had to attend a meeting. The initial call with the recruiter was very professional and enjoyable.

Senior Software Engineer Interview
Anonymous Interview Candidate
Application
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Reddit in Oct 2021
Interview
The opportunity seemed really cool and exciting and the interview process seemed pretty standard. Phone screen with the recruiter, then an hour long technical screen, then a 4-6 hour "on-site" with a few different people. The recruiter seemed enthusiastic and helpful until after the technical screen, and the interviewer in the technical screen seemed uninterested in even being there. I was never told how long until I would hear back after the technical screen, and then was completely ghosted by both of them. No communication whatsoever. It's pretty unprofessional and a little insulting to not receive at least a quick email indicating they wouldn't like to move forward, and I've never experienced anything quite like this before.
Interview Questions
- standard algorithms question about finding overlaps in numerical ranges.

Senior Software Engineer Interview
Anonymous Interview Candidate in Toronto, ON
Application
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Reddit (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2021
Interview
1. Recruiter Phone chat- Asking basic questions including what Reddit does and what some teams are doing. 2. Tech Phone Screen- Basic system design question and algorithm question. (Interviewer was not skilled at all, bragging about where he worked and related stuff; however, his responses were not technical and could not understand some basic computational complexity. Interviewer was not communicative, rather was focused on trying to make up a simple question difficult. He is not experienced at all and for senior positions senior interviewers should be assigned the task, otherwise it is a waste of time for both sides.) 3. Next step is virtual onsite interview.
Interview Questions
- > Simple 2D arrauy question and also system design question
